New PPI staff

Patient and public involvement is essential in research, especially in such a patient facing project as SERENITY.
Professor Annmarie Nelson from Cardiff University is the academic lead for PPI on SERENITY, having been integral to embedding PPI within Cardiff University School of Medicine.

We are also delighted to welcome Kathy Hughes as our patient PPI lead for the whole study. Kathy will be overseeing and supporting PPI across all work packages in the coming months. Kathy has extensive experience in PPI, including several cancer associated thrombosis studies and palliative care research. She has also been involved at national level in the UK, developing the National Standards for PPI in research.

Finally, we welcome Dr Michelle Edwards who shall be supporting Annmarie with this delivery of this theme.
